Playa de Santiago, is the location of the Gomera Dive Resort. The Dive-Center is based at the Hotel Jardin Tecina. The Hotel itself is integrated into an beautiful botanical garden. A big contrast to the scanty vegetation of the south. With an elevator, which crosses about five floors through the cliffs, you enter the Club Laurel which is part of the Hotel and the Dive-Center.
The southern coast of La Gomera has very light currents and not only the experienced diver, but also the beginner will find some small caves, which are easy to dive to, and display a spectacular underwater world.
Fish of the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and the Northern Atlantic are to be found in Canarian waters. Tunas, groupers, stingrays, barracudas and morenas, schools of mackerels and sardines can be seen at almost every dive.
